Cobalt Aerospace has been granted Design Organisation Approval (DOA) from the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

This approval allows us to classify and approve changes to aircraft, parts, and repairs where they meet set safety and quality requirements. Our flexible scope covers cabin interiors, avionics, and electrical systems.

We can now assist operators of both small and large aeroplanes and rotorcraft with a speedier and more efficient design and approval process for changes and repairs to aircraft.

Director Dan Rust comments:

“What a fantastic start to 2021. Last month, we were granted Design Organisation Approval by EASA, and to now be able to add approval from the Civil Aviation Authority as another string to our bow is a great achievement. I’m so proud of how hard the team has worked to earn Design Organisation status and I’m looking forward to the new opportunities this will bring us.”

Both this approval and our EASA Design Organisation Approval are thanks to the team successfully demonstrating our ability to offer the high safety and airworthiness standards set by both EASA and the CAA.
